DO NOT FEED CHICKEN JERKEY TREATS MADE IN CHINA TO YOUR PET!!!!
Due to recent reports of illnesses linked to chicken jerkey treats, specifically those manufactured in China, we are recommending you discontinue feeding these treats immediately. Because the FDA has found no specific causative toxic agent as of yet, the treats are still being sold on grocery store shelves, as no recall has yet been issued. However, the anecdotal evidence is mounting that there is a link between the treats and serious, sometimes life-threatening illnesses. If your pet has been eating these treats and experiences severe vomiting, loss of appetite, lethargy, increased water consumption, increased urination, or any other symptoms, please contact us immediately.

The most frequently implicated treats are:
Waggin' Train and Canyon Creek Ranch jerky treats or tenders, produced by Nestle Purina
Milo's Kitchen Home-style Dog Treats, produced by the Del Monte Corp.
Keep in mind that, to date, NO specific toxic agent has been found in these brands of treats. However, in the interest of caution, we do not recommend feeding these brands until more information is known.
